The funeral was held yesterday. Book Giveaway: This month our book giveaway is Cold Case Christianity and due to the interest in Cold Case Christianity for Kids, that will be the kid's book for the month again this month. Vacation Bible School: It’s time for VBS! Maker FunFactory will be held Monday, June 5-Friday, June 9. Curious kids will discover they are lovingly crafter by God as they are led through various stations throughout the morning. Helper/Leader sign-up sheets and registration forms are available at the display in the back of church. Registrations are due May 14. Music CDS are available at Katie’s Closet. Advance Notice: The public is invited to the Edgebrook Auxiliary Fundraiser Annual May Basket Social on Monday, May 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the Edgebrook Dining Area. Join us in bidding for a luncheon basket to share with the residents during their 3:00 p.m. lunch. National Day of Prayer Service - May 4 at 7:00 p.m. at our church. Volunteer Work Day at Inspiration Hills on Thursday, May 6. Help them get ready for over 1,000 campers. Work day includes lunch. Your help helps us get the camp cleaned up from winter and groomed and ready for summer. We are specially requesting: Log splitters and people to split wood, 4 wheeler w/2 wheel trailers to groom trails, electric fence for the Horse The board and New Life Treatment Center announce the 37th Annual Horse Ride-A-Thon. Horses with riders and horse drawn rigs will begin their trek from Pipestone County Fairgrounds and proceed to their destination at the Center in Woodstock. The date is Saturday, May 20 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Mark your calendars. We held our first Horse Ride-A-Thon in 1980 and it continues to be a great opportunity for friends to meet and have fun together while raising funds for New Life.
