Radio Broadcast:  The Schuld family is sponsoring the radio broadcast today in memory of Fred Schuld.
 
Cornerstone Prison Church:  On the evening of March 4, we will be attending the worship service at Cornerstone Prison Church at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls.  Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend.  All you need to do is fill out a background check form and return it to Pastor Mark by February 11.  The form is available to pick up on the table in the narthex.  If you have any questions about attending worship at Cornerstone speak with Pastor Mark or Jeff Snyder and they will be happy to answer them.
 
Attention 7-12 Year Olds:  Children’s Worship Bulletins are available on the table in the narthex.  Pencils provided.  Please return the pencil after the service.
 
Jr. RCYF:  We are still looking for someone to fill the position for Jr. RCYF.  This part time paid
position involves leading youth group on Wednesday evenings and coordinating other activities.  There are 12-15 students in this group.  Curriculum is already established.   If you are interested or have any questions talk to Scott or Nancy Wassink or Pastor Mark.

February 2-4  -  Throughout this retreat on February 2-4 there will be plenty of stories, speakers,
pampering time, discussion, mentoring, delious food, and a positive experience for you to take home.  We promise to support and provide you a weekend you’ve been needing.  You will receive the love of Jesus and we will encourage you in your relationship with Him.  The theme comes from 1 John 4:19, “We love because He first loved us.”  RSVP by January 26th.  Ministry Vision Dinner  -  February 20th  -  Learn more about the place you love!  It is a night of worship, prayers, and vision as we tell ministry stories and seek the wisdom and direction of the Holy Spirit for this year and beyond.  Please plan to join us for this free event.  RSVP by February 13th by emailing us at ihills@inspirationhills.org or by calling the office at 712-986-5193 with your name and the number of people attending with you.

     The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at the Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, January 24 from 1:00-7:00 p.m.  Please call or email Betty Huisken for an appointment (507-227-8416 or fbhuisken@gmail.com) to donate.  Making an appointment keeps the day going smoother and the waithing time not so long.  You may also make an appointment on line.  Every 2 seconds someone in the USA needs blood.  The Red Cross provides blood wherever it is needed.

     Learning Opportunity For Parents & Youth Leaders:  Online and social media can be a dangerous place for our youth.  The Southwest Crisis Center is bringing a national author and speaker, Alison Feigh of the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, to Luverne in January to provide a training for community professionals and parents.  She will give a presentation titled “Forensic Aspects of Online and Social Media Usage”.  In this presentation she will help adults understand why youth are susceptible to online dangers, what those dangers are and ways to reduce the risk.   This event will be January 25th, 2018 from 9am – 4pm at Grand Prairie Events.  Registration is $50 and includes lunch catered by The Bluestem.  Visit www.mnswcc.org to register or contact Jen at 507-283-9917 for more information.

Today, we will be Installing and Ordaining  Orv Corbin, Jeff Bleyenburg, and Jeff Snyder to the office of Elder.  We will be Installing and Ordaining Kirk Dirksen and Lucas Roskamp, and Installing Bill Post to the office of Deacon.  We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
