Sunshine Circle members & home members are invited to a Christmas Brunch on Sat., Dec. 16, 9AM in the church’s social room. We will also be making our annual fruit & goodie baskets. All members are encouraged to participate & asked to bring 3 dozen wrapped goodies. Anyone unable to come that day may bring their goodies to the kitchen the day before.
Jr. RCYF: We are still looking for someone to fill the position for Jr. RCYF. This part time paid
position involves leading youth group on Wednesday evenings and coordinating other activities. There are 12-15 students in this group. Curriculum is already established. If you are interested or have any questions talk to Scott or Nancy Wassink or Pastor Mark.

Hope Haven International presents “Rejoice! The Gift of Mobility” featuring Nashville recording artist Jill Miller on Tuesday, December 19 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15. A limited amount of VIP tickets are also available for $25 and include a meet and greet and premier seating. Tickets are on sale at the Washington Pavilion Box Office or through www.washingtonpavilion.org. The Christmas concert will also feature the Sioux Falls Christian School hand bell choir. Proceeds will go towards funding wheelchair sponsorships for an upcoming distribution trip to Vietnam in 2018.

Learning Opportunity For Parents & Youth Leaders: Online and social media can be a dangerous place for our youth. The Southwest Crisis Center is bringing a national author and speaker, Alison Feigh of the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, to Luverne in January to provide a training for community professionals and parents. She will give a presentation titled “Forensic Aspects of Online and Social Media Usage”. In this presentation she will help adults understand why youth are susceptible to online dangers, what those dangers are and ways to reduce the risk. This event will be January 25th, 2018 from 9am – 4pm at Grand Prairie Events. Registration is $50 and includes lunch catered by The Bluestem.
