Note: Two years ago many of you signed up for text notifications and calls for weather cancellations. This fall we discovered a more economical service with more features. Instead of transferring all of the numbers over from one service to the other we are asking for people to sign up again due to the amount of time since the initial sign up. You can sign up to receive these notifications
http://edgertonfrc.org/textnotifications or by texting efrc to 84576. You can also sign up by putting your name on the sign up sheet in the narthex.
Praise & Worship: Anyone interested in participating in praise groups in the coming year is invited to a quick meeting after worship on Sunday, January 6 in the sanctuary.
Radio Broadcast: If anyone would like to sponsor a radio broadcast in memory of or in honor of
someone or a special occasion, please contact Orv Corbin at 605-359-8330.

Thank you to the Sunshine Circle and Sr. RCYF for the goodie baskets, and to all of you that have treated me with a meal. Ray Hulstein
Note: Starting in the month of January, Pastor Mark will be preaching through the book of Ephesians. On the table in the narthex are books to help you dig into the text even deeper and help you get more out of the weekly sermon.
Congratulations to Cal Brouwer, Ron Menning, and Dave Rieck who were elected to the office of Elder and to Scott DeJong, Terry Nelson, and Ron Van Grootheest who were elected to the office of Deacon. If there is any scriptural reason why these men should not be ordained and installed to their office, please see Jeff Snyder or Pastor Mark.
Winter Clothes: Jerold and Sophie will be going to Sioux Falls again January 7 and will gladly bring
another carload of winter wear to Center of Hope. This includes clothes for children to adult consisting of gloves, shoes, mittens, scarves, coats, coveralls, boots, socks, long underwear, jackets and coats. Thanks to all of you for the many items given last time.
Offering Envelopes: If anyone did not receive offering envelopes and would like them, please contact one of the Deacons. Also if you do not have a mailbox, please contact one of the Deacons also.
On Monday, January 14, First Christian Reformed church will be showing the movie "LIKE AROWS," FamilyLife's first feature film that shows the challenges & Joys that come with raising
children through a journey that unfolds over 50 years. It is an EXCELLENT movie for everyone to watch! Come and see this film & invite your friends! Parenting is an exciting adventure, full of twists and turns, but sometimes it feels like you don't know where your headed, or you're just making it up as you go along. The Bible speaks to issues of the heart, and as we will explore in this Bible study, it will equip and transform the hearts of both parents & children. The Movie Like Arrows will be a kickoff for an 8 week Bible Study, called "The Art of Parenting." The Bible study will be held in our church on Monday Nights starting at 6:30 pm on January 21st. People expecting to be parents, current parents, and parents of grown children are all encouraged to attend! This is a great Bible Study for everyone as we aim our children's heart toward God! For more info, please contact Jon or Kelsey Schmidt 507.227.8570
EHS will be using the social hall for testing on Wednesday, January 30 from 8:00-2:00 p.m. Please avoid coming to church during this time.
