Dwell in the Word: The shelf for Dwell in the Word resources is beginning to fill up in the church library. Our theme for Dwell in the Word is "Pick a book. Dig deep." and their are plenty of options on how you can do that. On the Dwell in the Word list there are some longer books of the Bible but there are also some you can read in a few short minutes. If you aren't sure about what Dwell in the Word is or if you need some ideas on how to do it check out the church blog. There are several posts about Dwell in the Word that gives suggestions on how to dwell in a book of the Bible.
Bible Study Opportunity: On March 1 we will offer a four-week online Bible Study on the Trinity. This study is designed to take less than 25 minutes per week and is done entirely online. This is a free study offered by the Campaign for Core Christianity but the class is supervised by Pastor Mark. Core Christianity's website is optimized for mobile so it works well not only on your computer but you can easily do the entire study on your smartphone or tablet. To sign up go to edgertonfrc.org/discipleship. The course begins on March 1 but you can sign up and go through the information on how to take the course right now.
Membership Classes: The class for those interested in making Profession of Faith will start on March 5. The class will run for six Sundays and will meet in the library following worship.
Pigs-in-the-blanket: If you want to purchase pigs please call Mary Ann Zylstra (442-5332 or 507-227-9788), Linda Bleyenburg (442-4514), or Virginia Wassink (631-0002). Mary Ann Drooger will no longer be selling them.
Inspiration Hills: Camp brochures are in the display in the library. Registrations can be filled out online or mailed in. There is a discount if you register by April 1.
Church Group Outing: On Friday on March 10 we have a block of group tickets for a Sioux Falls Stampede game. Tickets are only $12 for excellent seats for the game againstOmaha. Tickets must be paid for in advance. You can sign up for tickets on the sheet in the entry. If you have any questions please talk with Jeff Snyder.
Old Hymnals: All of the old hymnals that had dedication placards in them are now located in the library. If you are interested in acquiring the hymnal that was dedicated in honor of a loved one you can pick them up anytime. The hymnals will be available to peruse until May 1.
Spring Soup Supper - March 1, 5:00-7:00 p.m. The sign up sheet is in the entry.
Ministry Vision Dinner: Your congregation is invited to our annual Ministry Vision Dinner to be held at the Main Lodge on Tuesday, March 21st. This is a free event and a perfect time for you to join us for a night of worship, prayer, and information as we tell ministry stories and seek wisdom and direction of the Holy Spirit for this year and beyond. Ladies Auxiliary Annual Meeting: Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 23rd with the program starting at 10 a.m. The annual meeting by the Ladies Auxiliary will consist of a speaker, music, a business meeting, lunch, and a silent auction. All women of area churches are invited to join us for the day. The cost for lunch is $10. Auxiliary members dues may also be paid that day. Yearly dues are $5 or a lifetime membership is $100. You do not need to be a member in order to come. RSVP by March 16 by calling the office at 712-986-5193.
