Ladies: It's time to start preparing for another season of Apples of Gold! Apples of Gold is building up marriages, mothers, and lives worldwide. It's not just a mentoring program, it's not just a cooking class...it's a nurturing, inter-generational connection that teaches women how to love their husbands, love their children, and how to practice submission, hospitality, kindness, and purity. A new season of AOG will be held September-November 2018. Meetings will be Mondays (9/17, 9/24, 10/8, 10/15, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12) from 4:30-7:30 at First CRC in Edgerton. There are six lessons and then a grand finale supper with spouses. The first hour is a cooking demonstration, the second hour is a Bible study, and the third hour we enjoy the meal that was prepared. If you have participated in AOG in the past, you know what a blessing it is! Please encourage/invite someone new to participate in the program. If you are interested in being involved, please contact Karen Fey (507-227-6392), Fay Van Essen (507-920-0729), or Ruth Kooiker (507-879-3373).
Blood is a lifesaving gift most healthy people can give. The community is encouraged to donate blood on Tuesday, July 24 from 12:30-6:30 p.m. at the Reformed Church in Edgerton to help those who have been seriously injured and need blood products to help them recover. It’s the blood already on the shelves that helps save lives. Every day, the American Red Cross must collect nearly 14,000 blood
donations to meet the needs of trauma patients and others with serious medical conditions. To make an appointment please contact Betty Huisken at 507-227-8416 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Anyone 16 years or older and in good health may be eligible to donate blood.
