Graduates from the class of 2017 and 2018 are posted in the library. Consider sponsoring a student in prayer through these years of transition from teen to young adult.
Prison Ministry: We were recently informed that on August 17 Cornerstone Prison Church will be meeting in the chow hall instead of the chapel. We will still be attending but this is not the full experience of attending worship at Cornerstone and is very uncomfortable. Therefore, we are adding another Friday evening where we will be attending worship at Cornerstone. This will be on September 14 and you are welcome to attend one or both of the worship services. If you plan to attend on August 17 you need to have your clearance forms in by Wednesday, August 1. If you have any questions contact Jeff Snyder or Pastor Mark.
Ladies: It's time to start preparing for another season of Apples of Gold! Apples of Gold is building up marriages, mothers, and lives worldwide. It's not just a mentoring program, it's not just a cooking class...it's a nurturing, inter-generational connection that teaches women how to love their husbands, love their children, and how to practice submission, hospitality, kindness, and purity. A new season of AOG will be held September-November 2018. Meetings will be Mondays (9/17, 9/24, 10/8, 10/15, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12) from 4:30-7:30 at First CRC in Edgerton. There are six lessons and then a grand finale supper with spouses. The first hour is a cooking demonstration, the second hour is a Bible study, and the third hour we enjoy the meal that was prepared. If you have participated in AOG in the past, you know what a blessing it is! Please encourage/invite someone new to participate in the program. If you are interested in being involved, please contact Karen Fey (507-227-6392), Fay Van Essen (507-920-0729), or Ruth Kooiker (507-879-3373).
