Sunday Afternoon Classes: Foundations in Faith is back on March 26 with Heresies and Heretics: Pelagius. We will not only be discussing the ancient heresy of Pelagianism (salvation by works) but also look at the impact this teaching has had on modern Christianity and look at how we see this aberrant
teaching manifest itself today. On April 9 we will be starting a new class called Bible Basics. This class will focus on one book of the Bible and give an overview of what it teaches. Expect to come away with a better understanding of the setting in which that book takes place, the doctrinal emphasis of the book, and a one-word summary that you can use to help you remember the overall theme of the book. Each month the book of the Bible that will be emphasized will be a book that we are encouraging people to read for Dwell in the Word. You do not need to be participating in Dwell in the Word to attend but the class is to be a supplement to the resources that are available for Dwell in the Word. The first book we will be looking at for Bible Basics is the Gospel of Mark. Both Foundations in Faith and Bible Basics will take place in the Fellowship Hall and begin at 4:00 PM.
