EDGE Youth Group Annual Kickoff Night: Join us at the softball diamonds on Sunday, September 13, starting around 5 PM. All ages welcome to join! Come join us for a fun night as we kick off another great year of EDGE! A meal will be served for a free will offering (Game following). There will be a brief parents meeting before the game.
Presbytery Volunteers Needed: First Reformed Church will be hosting the Lakes and Rivers Presbytery on Friday and Saturday, September 25 & 26. We are expecting around 60 guests and could use a few extra hands throughout the weekend! Volunteers are needed to help welcome guests, serve meals and coffee, and provide bars. A sign-up sheet will be available in the entryway if you would like to help with any of these areas. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Jouwstra or Caitlin Arp. Thank you for helping us!
Volunteers in Mercy (VIM) is distributing backpacks with school supplies to children of families that use the Edgerton food shelf. We are also helping distribute backpacks in Pipestone in cooperation with First Presbyterian Church. Give Dennis Kroll a call at 507-220-4231 if you are interested in helping with either of these programs.
You Are Invited: "How did the world originate? Did God create all things in 6, 24 hour days, or did He oversee an evolutionary process that took billions of years? Does it matter what we believe? Come to Edgerton PRC on Friday, September 11 at 7 PM to hear Pastor Matt De Boer answer these questions using the Word of God."
Note: The journey of grief is different for everyone, and you don’t have to walk that journey alone. You are welcome to join the Pipestone ATLAS for Life GriefShare support group on Thursdays from 1:15-3:00 p.m. starting September 17 through November 19. Find comfort, practical coping steps, and a caring Christian community through video lessons and discussion to help you move through the grief process and gain solid support each step of the way. Please call the ATLAS office 562-5777 to sign up for this session or for more information.
Gems Registration Night: When: Monday, August 24, 2026. Time: 6:30 to 8:30pm. Where: Edgerton City Park South Shelter House. Throughout this season, girls will discover that Jesus is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life. No matter what girls face, they can trust that Jesus knows the way forward and walks with them every step of the journey. Registration is for all girls who will be going into the 3rd - 8th grade this coming school year! We will get everyone introduced to GEMS Girls Club and registered for the upcoming year. Parents can come with their girls to the shelter house. You can look at this years curriculum and fill out registration papers. The girls will stay there for some Banana Ball and you are free to leave and return by 8:30pm to pick them back up. You are also welcome to stay for the nights festivities if you would like! BANANA BALL "ANYTHING BUT A BAT" EDITION. Have your GEMS girl come ready to play some ball! She needs to bring an item with her to hit the ball but it CAN'T be a bat. Think: Broomsticks, frying pans, pool noodles, tennis rackets, wrapping paper tubes, giant plastic oars, crutches, or umbrellas. Anything goes as long as it isn’t a bat! (we will be hitting wiffle balls). If you have any questions, please reach out to Jen Brands at 507-227-5880.
