En-Gedi Mission Trip Update #7

We ate an early breakfast and were on our way back to Kitengela by 8 am. We arrived at En-Gedi around 1:30 pm, grateful to be back.

Following a good, hearty lunch, we carried our bags to our rooms, unpacked, and rested for a while.

After all our riding over the weekend, a walk sounded great - spending some time on our feet instead of our behinds.

It was nice to see the En-Gedi neighborhood and meet some local people! We all agree Kenyans are among the nicest people we’ve encountered!

We had a supply of candy that Karen carried as we walked. When we saw young children, Karen became just what parents and schoolteachers warn young kids about: the stranger handing children candy! The photos show some of the little sweethearts we met.
