Bible League: You’re invited to the “Beyond Yesterday” conference, hosted by Bible League Volunteers on September 8-9 at Bethel CRC in Sioux Center. For details and registration, visit bibleleague.org/tickets. Register by August 31. Registration after August 17 incurs a $5 late fee.

Backpack Program: The annual Pipestone County backpack program that we have supported for many years has a new look. After partnering with Volunteers In Mercy last year, First Presbyterian in Pipestone has taken over distribution of school supplies for Pipestone students this year. VIM is working through the Edgerton food shelf to provide backpacks and school supplies for local students in Edgerton and Chandler. If you would like to help with this need, contact Dennis Kroll at 507-220-4231.

Thrift Store: The leadership team of the Legacy Thrift store invites all volunteers and their spouses to an appreciation dinner to be held on August 25 at the American Reformed Church at 1720 N. Burlington Ave., Worthington at 6:00 p.m. To register sign-up at the store or call the store (376-3766) or Jennifer (712-260-6170) by August 18.

Bloodmobile: There will be a Red Cross blood drive at the First Reformed Church in Edgerton on Monday, September 15 from 12:30 until 6:30. Please call Betty at 507-227-8416 or fbhuisken@gmail.com to make or confirm an appointment. There is a constant need for blood. Every 2 second someone/somewhere needs blood. Anyone 16 yrs. or older and in good health is able to donate.
