This Week’s Announcements

New Directors: We are excited to welcome Shawn Ranek as our new high school youth director! She brings a love for Christ, a heart for students, and a desire to walk alongside our youth in their faith journeys. Midweek will kick off on Wednesday, September 17. Please join us in praying for her as she begins this new ministry role.

New Members: We joyfully welcome Donley & Katie S., and Coleton & Jennifer H. (with their children) into our church family. May God bless their presence among us as we worship, grow, and serve together.

Pigs-in-the-Blankets: We will be making pigs-in-the-blanket on Monday, September 8 at 9:00 a.m.and Tuesday, September 9 at 1:00 p.m. Extra help is greatly appreciated.

Edge Youth Group Kickoff: Get ready for a fun-filled night and help support the high school youth group at our Kickball Fundraiser on Sunday, September 14 at the softball field! We will be serving brats, chip, and beans from 5:00-7:00 p.m. for a freewill donation. There will be a short parent meeting at 5:00 p.m. Kickball game starts at 5:30 p.m. Come out for an evening of friendly competition, laughs, and great food. Whether you’re playing in the game or cheering from the sidelines, everyone is welcome to come, eat & play!

Bloodmobile: There will be a Red Cross blood drive at the First Reformed Church in Edgerton on Monday, September 15 from 12:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Please call Betty Huisken or fbhuisken@gmail.com to make or confirm an appointment. There is a constant need for blood. Every two seconds someone/somewhere needs blood. Anyone 16 yrs. or older and in good health is able to donate.

Bible League: You’re invited to the “Beyond Yesterday” conference, hosted by Bible League Volunteers on 8-9 at Bethel CRC in Sioux Center. For details and registration, visit bibleleague.org/tickets. Register by August 31. Registration after August 17 incurs a $5 late fee.

Women’s Bible Study: All women are invited to a Bible Study of Paul’s letter to his friend Titus. You will be invited to “Display the Gospel of Grace” as we look at the essential connection between right belief and right character and the way both testify to the goodness of the gospel. Coffee Break will begin September 17, 2025 at First Christian Reformed Church. The morning group will meet at 9:30 in the Fellowship Room with Story Hour and nursery provided for children. The evening group will meet at 6:30 in the Council Room (no Story Hour or nursery). If you have questions call or text Thea Nykamp or Priscilla Pater.
