This Week’s Announcements

New Directors: We are excited to welcome Shawn Ranek as our new high school youth director! Midweek will kick off on Wednesday, September 17. Please join us in praying for her as she begins this new ministry role.

Edge Youth Group Kickoff: Get ready for a fun-filled night and help support the high school youth group at our Kickball Fundraiser on Sunday, September 14 at the softball field! We will be serving brats, hot dogs, chips, and beans from 5:00-7:00 p.m. for a freewill donation. There will be a short parent meeting at 5:00 p.m. Kickball game starts at 5:30 p.m. Come out for an evening of friendly competition, laughs, and great food. Whether you’re playing in the game or cheering from the sidelines, everyone is welcome to come, eat & play! There will be inflatables for the younger kids.

Second Saturday Men’s Bible Study: We’re back after taking the summer off! Join us on Saturday, September 13 at 8:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall for coffee, a light breakfast, and a time in God’s Word together. We’ll continue our study in Galatians, but don’t worry—you can jump in at any time, even if you haven’t come before. All men are welcome!

Everlasting Covenant Devotion Book: We are excited to provide a companion devotion book for our current sermon series, Everlasting Covenant. Each week includes space for sermon notes along with five days of devotions to help you reflect on God’s Word throughout the week. Limited copies are available at the Welcome Desk and on the table in the narthex.

Profession of Faith Class: Students who are interested in making profession of faith and becoming members of our congregation are invited to attend an orientation class on October 12. Classes will then meet on November 2, 9, 16, 23, and December 7 and 14. If you are considering taking this important step, please talk to Pastor Mark for more information.

Bloodmobile: There will be a Red Cross blood drive at the First Reformed Church in Edgerton on Monday, September 15 from 12:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Please call Betty at 507-227-8416 or fbhuisken@gmail.com to make or confirm an appointment. There is a constant need for blood. Every two seconds someone/somewhere needs blood. Anyone 16 yrs. or older and in good health can donate.

Women’s Bible Study: All women are invited to a Bible Study of Paul’s letter to his friend Titus. You will be invited to “Display the Gospel of Grace” as we look at the essential connection between right belief and right character and the way both testify to the goodness of the gospel. Coffee Break will begin September 17, 2025 at First Christian Reformed Church. The morning group will meet at 9:30 in the Fellowship Room with Story Hour and nursery provided for children. The evening group will meet at 6:30 in the Council Room (no Story Hour or nursery). Justice for All is having their Annual Meeting and Auction Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the South building of their ministry campus in Rock Valley. Every year there is an opportunity to hear about the highlights of the past fiscal year, trips and financial report along with a catered meal. After a short meeting there will be an auction with items donated to help provide support for JFA. From home made items, to gift cards, meat bundles and more will be up for bidding. Join us to hear a ministry update and stay for the entertainment of Zomer Auctioneering.
