Edge Youth Group Kickoff: Get ready for a fun-filled night and help support the high school youth group at our Kickball Fundraiser TONIGHT at the softball field! We will be serving brats, hot dogs, chips, and beans from 5:00-7:00 p.m. for a freewill donation. There will be a short parent meeting at 5:00 p.m. Kickball game starts at 5:30 p.m. Come out for an evening of friendly competition, laughs, and great food. Whether you’re playing in the game or cheering from the sidelines, everyone is welcome to come, eat & play! There will be inflatables for the younger kids. Bring your lawn chairs.
Fall Soup Supper: We will be having our Fall Soup Supper on Wednesday, October 1 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Serving BBQs, a variety of soups, and delicious desserts. Pigs-in-the-blanket will also be available purchase. Free will donations.
Pigs-in-the-blanket: There are Pigs available for purchase. Due to the rising cost of supplies we are raising the price to $13 per dozen. To purchase contact Linda Bleyenburg or Mary Ann Zylstra.
The Story Retold: Join us as we begin a new session of Story Retold! We’ll meet Sunday, September 21, at 10:50 a.m. in the Sanctuary. This 20-minute class will explore the Gospel of Matthew, focusing on practical ways to read and understand this book.
We are now moving into individual New Testament books, and new participants are welcome—each class can stand alone. Come and grow in your understanding of God’s Word!
Profession of Faith Class: Students who are interested in making profession of faith and becoming members of our congregation are invited to attend an orientation class on October 12. Classes will then meet on November 2, 9, 16, 23, and December 7 and 14. If you are considering taking this important step, please talk to Pastor Mark for more information.

Bloodmobile: There will be a Red Cross blood drive at the First Reformed Church in Edgerton on Monday, September 15 from 12:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Please call Betty at 507-227-8416 or fbhuisken@gmail.com to make or confirm an appointment. There is a constant need for blood. Every two seconds someone/somewhere needs blood. Anyone 16 yrs. or older and in good health is able to donate.
Women’s Bible Study: All women are invited to a Bible Study of Paul’s letter to his friend Titus. You will be invited to “Display the Gospel of Grace” as we look at the essential connection between right belief and right character and the way both testify to the goodness of the gospel. Coffee Break will begin September 17, 2025 at First Christian Reformed Church. The morning group will meet at 9:30 in the Fellowship Room with Story Hour and nursery provided for children. The evening group will meet at 6:30 in the Council Room (no Story Hour or nursery). If you have questions call or text Thea Nykamp (morning group) or Priscilla Pater (evening group).
Apple picking opportunity: The Hubers family from Pipestone is offering two apple picking opportunities on Friday, September 19 (4:00-6:00 pm) and Saturday, September 20 (10:00am-12:00pm). There are ten varieties to pick from at 377 State Hwy 30 (west of Pipestone). Pick an unlimited number of apples with a free-will donation to support ATLAS for Life. Bags provided or take along your own bag or bucket! Pull out that favorite apple recipe and we hope to see you next weekend.
