Announcements
Nomination Ballots: The nomination ballots were placed in your mailboxes last week. Please fill them out and return them prior to November 2. The 2025 Congregational Meeting will be held Monday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m.
Trip Committee: We are putting together a Trip Planning Committee to help organize future outings & trips for the youth in our church family. If you enjoy planning and would like to be part of creating meaningful experiences, we would love to have you join. Please contact Jason Snyder or Caitlin Arp, if you are interested.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month and we want to thank you, Pastor Mark, for the many ways you serve our church. Through faithfully preaching God’s Word each week, you challenge and encourage us to grow in our walk with Christ. You also invest in our youth and care deeply for our congregation, offering prayer, support, and compassion. We are truly grateful for you, your wife, and your family, and for the love you share with our church congregation!
Needed: Large brown grocery bags are needed for packing Pigs-in-the-blanket. Please bring them to kitchen if you have any.
Informational Meeting: We will be having a brief meeting in the sanctuary following the service on Sunday, November 16 sharing the information from the Name Change Committee. Everyone is welcome to join, and learn more.
Edgerton Food Shelf: The Edgerton Food Shelf is seeking donations to support local families. Please bring food, personal care items, or monetary gifts to First Reformed Church (checks payable to Edgerton Food Shelf). Items always needed: peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, cereal, pancake mix, syrup, canned vegetables or fruit, body wash, toilet paper, and detergent. They are also collecting Thanksgiving items: boxed stuffing, cranberry sauce, instant potatoes, and frozen pies by November 12. If you have any questions, please contact Art & Sandy Menning, Shar Miedema, Brenda Kooi, Mary Kreun, or Lisa Pfiefle.
Operation Christmas Child: Please consider packing a shoe box gift for all the boys and girls who may not get one this year. One box touches the entire family and teaches them about the good news of Jesus Christ. The boxes are by the Welcome desk. Bring them back November 17th-23rd. That gives you plenty of time to take the children or grandchildren shopping and let them help you choose gifts. The $10 donation for shipping is being paid by our church again this year. If you have any questions, let me know anytime. Iris Talsma
