Name Change Vote: Following the service today, we will hold a brief meeting to vote on the proposed name change. Members will be choosing between retaining our current name, “First Reformed Church – an Evangelical Presbyterian Church,” or adopting the new name, “Grace Covenant – a Reformed Evangelical Presbyterian Church.” All members 18 years of age or older are eligible to vote. After the closing hymn, students will be dismissed to fellowship. All members eligible to vote will remain seated, and ballots will be distributed. The elders and deacons will then count the ballots and share the results with the congregation. The absentee ballots have already been counted.
New Church Officers: The newly selected Ruling Elders are Jeff Bleyenburg and Dave Rieck. The new Deacons are Kellen Kooi, Lucas Roskamp, and Reed Van Hulzen. If there is any scriptural reason why these men should not be ordained and installed to their office, please see Jason Snyder or Pastor Mark.
Sound Board Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to help run the sound board during our Sunday worship services. No prior experience needed, just a willingness to learn and serve. If you are interested in volunteering your time, please talk to Caitlin Arp.
Christmas Program Practice: Midweek students in preschool–5th grade will be practicing for the Christmas Program on Sunday, December 14 and 21, following the morning service until 11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Kids may quickly grab a cookie and juice beforehand. Our students will be singing during the Candlelight Service on Sunday, December 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Prisicilla Circle will be having small group meetings in the Fellowship Hall at 1:30 p.m. on December 15.
Christmas Candlelight Service: Join us for a joyful evening as we celebrate the birth of our Savior at our annual Christmas Candlelight Service on Sunday, December 21 at 6:30pm. The night will include the Children’s Christmas Program, music from the Chapel Choir, and special selection from our 6th–12th grade students, along with a few additional special numbers. Come and enjoy a meaningful night of Scripture, music, and candlelight as we gather to rejoice in the hope of Christmas. All are warmly invited!

Thank You: I want to thank everyone for their participation in the Operation Christmas Child program this year. Some contributed by filling boxers, some contributed by making special items to add to the boxes. Special thank you to the church for supporting this mission by covering the cost of shipping the shoe boxes for us. The numbers for our church were down a little from last year but we will do better next year. We made a big difference in the lives of children around the world and their families. Thanks for your generosity and caring attitudes. Iris Talsma
Edgerton Food Shelf Angel Tree: We invite you to participate in our 4th Annual Angel Tree/Gift Drive at First Reformed Church.
